Short Green Milkweed reaches about one foot high and features greenish nodding clusters of green flowers that often become more yellow as they age. The lanceolate foliage is upward pointing with wavy margins. This milkweed does well in prairie to savanna situations in dry-mesic to dry conditions. A host plant for monarch butterflies, it is also attractive to other pollinators.
