Blue Joint Grass is an adaptable cool season clumping grass with a blue-green cast to the foliage. Upright seedheads form in midsummer turning from pinkish to a pleasant tan. Reaching about four feet high, this grass is commonly found in wet to moist prairies, but will adapt readily to mesic soils.
