Spring Beauty can be found in woodlands, even after they have been heavily degraded. A true ephemeral, they have narrow, grass like foliage. Their blooms are delicate and star shaped and come in a variety of pinks and whites. They can be found with Carex pensylvanica, Phlox divaricata, and Trillium recurvatum.
