An extremely adaptable plant, Dotted St. John’s Wort is found in wet and dry savannas, fens, and prairies. It grows upight and has smooth leaves. In mid summer it produces clumps of small, yellow, spotted flowers. It associates with Fragaria virgiana, Allium cernuum, and Eutrochium purpureum, along with many others.
