Dudley’s Rush is a prairie wetland rush that can adapt to a variety of soils as long as there is consistent moisture. Rounded reddish-brown seedheads appear in the fall are clustered at the top of the green stems. A food source for insects and some moths as well as occasional birds and wildlife. Named after William Russell Dudley who first discovered this plant.
