Path Rush is a short, very finely textured clumping rush that thrives in prairies and savannas in mesic to dry soils. Tiny flower clusters form small seed capsules. The seeds become sticky when wet, often clinging to passersby and dropping along the edges of paths. A food source for miscellaneous insects.
