This perennial can be found in wet prairies, mesic-wet woodlands, and a variety of wetland types. It has large leaves and tends to grow upright without any need for support. Its yellow flowers tend to nod a bit, and are vary in color intensity. It is attracts a variety of pollinators, but native bees are particularily fond of this plant.
