White goldenrod is an uncommon perennial found in wet to dry remnants with medium coarse soils. It has thin foliage and red stems. The flowers are aster like, and they commonly persist for two months. It assoicates with Allium cernuum, Listris pycnostacha, and Koeleria macrantha. It is known to attract the Karner’s Blue butterfly.
