Ditch Stonecrop prefers to grow in areas with constantly moist water and often grows in standing water. It has red-green stem and slender green leaves. The flowers grow in arching spikes and occassionally are tinged with green. As they mature, they are replaced with red fruits in the fall that are quite attractive. The foliage will also take on a yellow-green color. It can be found with Calamgrostis canadensis, Eupatorium perfoliatum, and Phyla lanceolata.
