Sand Phlox is a creeping perennial found in prairies and savannas thriving in dry-mesic to dry soils with good drainage. Starry white to pale blue flowers with deeply notched petals bloom cover the plants in May. It is visited by butterflies, skippers and moths. Has excellent resistance to mildew and rot when sited in the right place.
