This distinctive ephemeral is found in woodlands and savannas. It has large, glossy flowers with seven distinct lobes. Each of these lobes drape down elegently. Beneath these leaves, large white flowers will form, and they would be quite showy if only you could see them. They are commonly found with Carex normalis, Galium triflorum, and Viola sororia.
