Found in marshes, fens, and other moist areas, Chairmaker’s Rush is used for stablizing shorelines and other restorations. They produce through tubors and seeds and can spread quite aggressively. Their extremely upright growth pattern provides excellent cover for wetland birds. Common associates are Asclepias incarnata, Eutrochium maculatum, and Iris virginica shevei.
