Wild Stonecrop grows along sandy outcrops in moist woodlands. It forms mats of whorled, fleshy leaves. In established colonies, the white blooms will persist for nearly a month before fading away. It is found with Aralia nudicaulis, Solidago flexicaulis, and Symphyotrichum shortii.
